Sherco Motorcycles have announced Jean-Michel Paquient as new General Manager replacing Thomas Tessier who moves to new projects within the company.

Thomas Tessier has been the General Manager of Sherco Motorcycles for eight years, playing a significant role in the company’s development and growth into the global brand it is today.

Son of the Sherco founder Marc Tessier, Thomas has decided to embark on a new adventure within the group, focusing on real estate and investment.

Jean-Michel Paquient takes over the new role with a wealth of experience and is a man known to Enduro21 through our sport.

Paquient has worked for motorcycle importers in France, dealing with brands like Moto Morini, Ducati, Husqvarna, Gasgas, MV Agusta, and more recently Royal Enfield. He has also achieved success in the quad and electric bicycle industry.

A multiple-time Enduro motorcycle champion in France, with a background in sales, technical expertise and experience as a product manager, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Jean-Michel Paquient: “It is with immense pride and tremendous motivation for me to join the ranks of Sherco Motorcycles alongside Marc Teissier and the entire team he has surrounded himself with.

I have been influenced and educated by great figures in the motorcycle industry such as Marcel Seurat and Frédéric Fourgeaud, with relationships connected to major brands, and most importantly, the fundamental values I hold dear: hard work, dedication, professionalism, all mixed with the passion that fuels our daily lives.

Sherco's journey is extraordinary: starting with a prototype motorcycle in 1997 and building, 15 years later, bikes that are often equal to or even superior to European or Japanese competitors and successfully selling them in more than 88 countries. This leads me to believe that I am once again going to experience something unique alongside a great man and a fantastic team of 180 people who are leaving an indelible mark globally.”
