2024 KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS USA Off-Road Teams Announced
FMF KTM Factory Racing, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing and GASGAS Factory Racing Team USA name complete team line-ups for 2024 off-road season ahead.
The 2024 US off-road season will see familiar faces and new colours and new challenges for some as KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS North America all name their factory squads for next season.
The FMF KTM Factory Racing Team heads into 2024 with five returning riders to contest the top offroad championships including GNCC, National Enduro, Sprint Enduro, Hard Enduro and Endurocross.
For the first time also KTM extends its factory efforts to include the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers, which will focus on GNCC’s XC2 250 Pro and WXC classes (with Brandy Richards back east for GNCC and Sprint Enduro) and to provide a stepping stone for young riders into the premier XC1 class.
East Coast/West Coast split duties
Ben Kelley and Johnny Girroir will lead the charge in the Grand National Cross Country Championship (GNCC) on the east coast. Additionally, Kelley will enter the AMA National Enduro Series and Girroir in the AMA US Sprint Enduro Series.
Trystan Hart will wear his number one plates across the AMA US Hard Enduro and AMA EnduroCross Championships in search of a repeat in 2024.
Representing FMF KTM Factory Racing on the west coast, Dante Oliveira and Mateo Oliveira will both compete in the AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) and AMA West Hare Scrambles Series (WHS).
FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers squad
New for 2024 is the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers squad under the management of Chris Landers. Based on the east coast and featuring a three-rider roster that includes the Angus Riordan – runner-up in GNCC XC2 this past season – Grant Davis and reigning ISDE Women’s World Trophy Champion Brandy Richards.
All three riders will be on the 2024 KTM 250 XC-F throughout the season, with Riordan entering GNCC XC2 in addition to his U.S. Sprint Enduro Series Pro 2 title defence. Davis will also contest GNCC alongside the NEPG Series in NE Pro2.
Richards meanwhile is switching sides of the States and setting her sights on success in GNCC and the AMA U.S. Sprint Enduro Series within the WXC and Pro Women categories.
Seven-strong Rockstar Husqvarna Squad
A class roster of seven riders will make up the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team in offroad competition heading into the 2024 season, spread throughout the sport’s leading series within the United States and with the common goal of challenging for race victories and championship glory.
Husqvarna Motorcycles retain GNCC champion Craig DeLong, Trevor Bollinger, Austin Walton, Dalton Shirey, Colton Haaker, and Ryder LeBlond, and welcome Korie Steede within the factory squad.
New Grand National Cross Country Champion Craig DeLong will defend his XC1 Open Pro crown, as well as enter the AMA U.S. Sprint Enduro Series next season as part of a multi-year contract extension.
Trevor Bollinger will again be alongside him in GNCC, eager to make amends for another tough season with both riding Husqvarna Motorcycles’ FX 350. Bollinger will also contest the AMA National Enduro Series.
Both DeLong and Bollinger will be joined in GNCC by WXC front-runner Korie Steede, who was runner-up in the 2023 standings with two round wins.
Steede, who formed part of the U.S. team's winning FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) Women’s World Trophy squad in Argentina last month, will also enter the Sprint Enduro Series.
Preparing for battle on the west coast with the 2024 Husqvarna Motorcycles FX 450, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will field Austin Walton and Dalton Shirey in the AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) and National Hare and Hound (NHHA) Championship, where Shirey is set to challenge for his fourth-career Pro class title.
The same AMA US Hard Enduro Championship and AMA EnduroCross Championship combination continues in the form of five-time EX Pro number one Haaker and LeBlond. The duo will be equipped with the 2024 Husqvarna Motorcycles TE 300 in Hard Enduro, before transferring across to the 2024 FX 350 in EnduroCross.
Ashburn switches to GASGAS
The 2024 GASGAS competition line-up has a fresh look too with 2022 GNCC champion Jordan Ashburn joining Ryder Lafferty on the Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing Team.
Meanwhile Will Riordan will headline the GASGAS Factory Racing Team Hard Enduro and EnduroCross duties under the management of Tanner Tremaine. Will races the EC 300 two-stroke in the US Hard Enduro Series and the EC350F in the AMA EnduroCross.
