The Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) management team has been forced to postpone rounds five and six from August 6-7 at Queensland Moto Park and rounds seven and eight at Nowra, NSW due to ongoing border restrictions limiting travel between states.

It feels like one step forward and two steps back with the Covid situation in Australia and its effect on off-road sport. The scheduled double-header at the Queensland Moto Park which was due to host both AORC and ProMX championships on August 6-8 has been postponed.

AORC have also announced the next rounds planned at Nowra, NSW on August 28-29 are also postponed due to the current status and government restrictions in NSW.

AORC management do offer some hope though in adding they will continue to work with the clubs involved for all the postponed rounds (including Kyogle Rnds 3+4 from July 17-18).

Motorcycling Australia say they are “committed to ensuring the championship can continue and conclude with the maximum rounds in 2021” so stay tuned for further updates particularly the rescheduled date for Kyogle which is due in the coming week.
