Daniel McCanney has taken all but one of the seven rounds in this year’s British Enduro Championship to retain his overall and E3 titles. In what surely has been a successful year for the Manxman, Danny took the win on day one of the Natterjack season finale to create an unassailable points gap.

Factory Sherco/CH Racing rider, Jack Edmondson fought through the pain barrier to take the 2019 E2 title – just three weeks after breaking his wrist. Without the injury Edmondson was mathematically in with a chance of the overall title still but settled on fighting for the E2 title despite the pain.

The E1 4T class was super-competitive on the first day at the Natterjack. The top four, which included 2019 SuperEnduro Junior champ and WESS regular Will Hoare, were within the same minute after 10 tests.

Notable retirements on day one were Tom Sagar and ISDE Team GB Manager, Daryl Bolter who crashed out with a suspected broken wrist. With one day’s racing left (Sunday) second spot in the overall championship remains to be decided with Alex Snow favourite due to Edmondson's injury.
