Rhayader Motor Club are hosting their 2 Day Enduro this weekend, a round of the ACU Welsh Enduro Championship with a Friday evening Prologue and attracting riders like Steve Holcombe, Wil Ruprecht and Hamish Macdonald in preparation for the 2024 British round of the EnduroGP World Championship.

Acting as an unofficial test event for the 2024 EnduroGP World Championship round at the same location (even though the club are well versed at this game), the Rhayader 2 Day Enduro this weekend promises to be a good one.

The weekend has drawn a solid list of international riders including current ’23 EGP points leader Steve Holcombe plus the factory Sherco pairing of Wil Ruprecht and Hamish Macdonald, newly crowned British Sprint Enduro champ Jamie McCanney and 2022 Youth World Champion Harry Edmondson. Add in names like Harry Houghton, Josh Gotts, Jordan Scott, Tom Sagar and Alex Walton and it will be a class event to watch or compete in.

The spectator-friendly event kicks off with a Friday evening prologue pitching Championship and Expert class riders in a “head-to-head duel” over a short, extreme type test at the event base, Cmythig Hill MX circuit. First riders will start from 6.30pm – spectators are £5 for adults, £2 for children.

The Prologue will count as the first special test of the weekend which then progresses to a 35 miles per lap route using local forests and includes an Enduro test at Saintswell and a Motocross test at Cwmythig, plus a brand new Cross Test at Dolly Farm. Again, for any rider looking ahead to the EnduroGP round next year, this will be great preparation.

All classes will complete three laps on the Saturday (Sunday laps to be confirmed), with an extra motocross test at Cwmythig at the end of each day.

The event is based at Cwmythig Hill situated off the B4518 on the Rhayader to St Harmon road, it will be signposted from Rhayader. Cwmythig boasts a tarmac drive, large hard standing paddock, large grass field parking area & a permanent toilet block.
