2025 EnduroGP of Portugal Results: Super Test Win for Dominik Olzowy

Rieju Factory Racing’s SuperEnduro specialist Dominik Olszowy tops the EnduroGP Friday Super Test results at the opening round of the 2025 World Championship in Portugal.
EnduroGP Rnd 1, Portugal Super Test in a nutshell:
- Conditions were not good for the Friday night showcase at the opening round of the EnduroGP World Championship. Set on largely the same dual lane course as last year, the difference was the weather which made it pretty horrible for everyone TBH.
- The narrow track got worse as the night wound on towards a frankly too late finish (gone 10pm and still racing on track for the top GP boys is far too late ahead of a weekend of long days – whoever plans this stuff should try it themselves).
- That said it takes skills to master the conditions and though rain and the track got worse as the night drew on, fast and mistake-free was the name of the game for Dominik Olszowy who claimed the fastest time overall ahead of the stacked field.
- It was one of those nights where conditions dictated caution was the better tactic and the string of close times at the top of the time sheets shows they were all doing more or less the same – trying to get through it mistake-free.
- Do that and the best got around the 1:50 mark, a little braver and you dipped into the 1:49s. Make a mistake, like Josep Garcia and Steve Holcombe for example, and you dropped down the order.
- Olszowy showed his SuperEnduro skills on the tight and slippery track to just better Zach Pichon, who is usually good for a fast time in Super Tests, and Hamish Macdonald (also a former Friday winner in EnduroGP) in third.
- As ever, we point out this is test one of the weekend and tomorrow morning, after not enough sleep, it all begins again in what looks like being damp and wet conditions.
