Eight-time world champion Billy Bolt has been confirmed as a wildcard entry for the final round of the 2026 FIM World Championship, the EnduroGP of Wales this August.

Give the people what they want right? Not content with staging the final round of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship – where we are already anticipating a dramatic conclusion to the season between the likes of Josep Garcia, Andrea Verona, Zach Pichon, Steve Holcombe and Brad Freeman – organsiers of the Wales GP have announced SuperEnduro World Champion Billy Bolt will also line-up in Rhayader.

The Husqvarna Factory Racing rider will join the end of season party from August 6-9 in Rhayader, Mid-Wales and ramp up excitement to what is already shaping up to be a standout weekend in British sport.

“It’s been a few years since I last competed in an EnduroGP round,” says Bolt, “because I’ve been so focused on SuperEnduro and Hard Enduro, but I’ve wanted to do something like this again for a while. It’s a good chance to mix things up, have a crack at something different and give something back to the fans. The support’s always been unreal, so doing something like this at home is class. It sounds like it’s going to be a mega weekend, so I’m buzzing to be part of it.”

Crowd-pleaser

For fans, it is a chance to see the multi-talented Bolt take on the EnduroGP boys on British soil, going up against the sport’s biggest names at one of the biggest weekends on the UK off-road calendar.

Adam Rees, Event Director, said: “This is a massive moment for EnduroGP of Wales. Billy Bolt is one of the biggest names in off-road racing and to have him coming to Wales as a wildcard is incredibly exciting.

He’s a rider the fans love, he brings real energy wherever he goes, and his presence adds something extra to an event that was already building towards a huge championship finale. We know the crowd will get right behind him and it’s going to create a brilliant atmosphere.”

The EnduroGP of Wales will stage a huge championship finale as the 2026 season in August. From the moment the gates open on Thursday and the opening ceremony parade rolls through Rhayader, the event is set to build into a full-scale celebration of enduro.

That begins with Friday’s Akrapovic SuperTest before two full days of racing across Cwmythig Hill MX and Saintswell Enduro Centre, on Saturday and Sunday.

The paddock atmosphere, food and drink, live music from Luke Combs UK and Landraver, the late bar and the huge Sunday after party, and EnduroGP of Wales is shaping up to be one of the standout weekends of the summer for fans and spectators.
