Everything that happened, including the video highlights, from Friday’s action at round four of the 2026 EnduroGP World Championship in Fafe, Portugal, where Josep Garcia was fastest in the Akrapovic Super Test by just 0.17s ahead of Zach Pichon.
Akrapovic Super Test in a nutshell:
- The EnduroGP World Championship returns to Fafe this weekend and, with it, the classic Akrapovic Super Test course that the Portuguese organisers build in the centre of town, although this year they had changed the direction of the track.
- For such a short course, it combines a good handful of obstacles: from two big jumps on the back straight to a rock garden in the final corner, plus a log matrix and a couple of doubles in true SuperEnduro style.
- Josep Garcia was able to put everything he learned during his winter spell in the stadiums to good use, setting the fastest time of the night and taking his third win from four possible Super Tests so far this year.
- But it was not easy today for the KTM rider, who had to push hard to beat a great time from Zach Pichon. The TM rider put the Spaniard under pressure, but Garcia came out on top by just 0.12s.
- Third place went to Steve Holcombe, who posted one of his best Super Test performances of the season so far, but it was only enough for third despite being just 0.4s slower than Garcia.
- In fact, the times were much tighter than usual today. Max Ahlin, Morgan Lesiardo, Andrea Verona, Julien Roussaly and Albin Elowson all finished in the 1m39s bracket, with their positions decided by thousandths of a second.
- In Junior, Leo Joyon claimed his first victory of the season with Triumph ahead of his compatriot Clement Clauzier, with Italy’s Manuel Verzeroli in third place.
- The Youth category was slightly less tight, with TM Moto rider Pietro Scardina taking victory ahead of Yago Martínez and Gabriele Melchiorri.
- Shelby Turner has made a big entrance into EnduroGP. The American arrived to try her luck and ends Friday with a six-second advantage over Rachel Gutish and Rosie Rowett.
