ISDE World Trophy and EnduroGP race winner Nathan Watson has officially signed with Beta Factory Enduro Team for the 2024 Enduro World Championship season.

In a rash of high-profile announcements from race teams as the new year lands and contracts expire, Nathan Watson has been officially announced as a factory team rider for the 2024 series.

In truth it wasn’t ‘news’, as we’d been expecting the move since late summer ’23, but Watson makes a straight swap with Steve Holcombe (who moves to Honda RedMoto) in the EnduroGP paddock to race the world championship and Italian Assoluti domestic series’.

Nathan joins fellow British rider Brad Freeman in the two-rider Beta Factory Enduro team and will also unusually race under the same overall Beta Racing umbrella as his brother Ben, who competes the MXGP World Motocross Championship for the team.

At time of writing, it is not clear which class Watson will contest although E2 where he has raced for much of his career on four-stroke models seems most likely with Holcombe having put in so much development on the 350 and 390 models in recent seasons.

Maybe now’s the time for a big bike guy like Nathan to bring the larger capacity Beta models up to scratch?
