2024 Gotland Grand National win for EnduroGP Junior World Champion, Max Ahlin as epic Scandinavian enduro enters its 40th decade.

After 40 years at the historic Tofta shooting range, this year's new GGN 2.0 took place on a new venue in Hejdeby, Gotland.

The all-new for nearly 3000 riders across the weekend, contributed to the big build-up leading up to the Elite class start on Saturday, October 26. A lot of speculation was spent on winner at the new venue whcih contained different dirt and new course layout leading to ask who would it suit best? 

The old track was notoriously difficult to ride with limestone rocks and in recent years has been dominated by Albin Elowson and Mikael Persson fighting for the famous trophy.

This is the mass-start of the AM race...

 

As the mass start got underway, MXGP rider Kevin Horgmo who lead the way for the three first laps. But the brutal realities of XC racing got the better of the short course guy and Junior World Enduro Champion Max Ahlin proved to be the strongest competitor, taking over the lead for KTM Scandinavia to eventually complete six laps with two pitstops in 3:30.07. Albin Gerhardsson took second and a maiden podium followed by former winner Elowson.

Norwegian WMX rider Martine Hughes won decisively on the women’s category with a start to finish victory. Matilda Huss took second and Hanna Berzelius rounded the female podium.
