Monster Energy Honda HRC have officially confirmed their five-rider team for the Dakar Rally, the first round of the 2025 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship.

Less than a month away from the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, the opening round of the W2RC season, the Monster Energy Honda HRC team unveils its lineup for 2025 with defending champion Ricky Brabec’s leading an unchanged squad.

The Monster Energy Honda HRC team remains unchanged for 2025 with five who’ve proved themselves to be the best team in the world: Ricky Brabec, Tosha Schareina, Adrien Van Beveren, Skyler Howes, and Pablo Quintanilla.

Riders Ready for Action

Ricky Brabec, the reigning 2024 Dakar champion, is working back to fitness after an injury sustained at the Rallye du Maroc. His goal is naturally to defend his title and aim for the FIM W2RC crown which eluded him due to injury in ’24.

Tosha Schareina wrapped up a spectacular debut season with Monster Energy Honda HRC, securing a win in Portugal and podiums at Argentina’s Ruta 40 and the Rallye du Maroc. The Spaniard is naturally fast on the rally bike and with more consistency this year will surely be a contender.

Adrien Van Beveren is obviously also a contender at Dakar and in W2RC. Third place at the ’24 Dakar was solid from the Frenchman – dependable is his middle name but that win remains elusive.

By the way, it’s a sign of the times when even HRC are cutting back on their expenses so much they put out shocking photoshop images like these rider portraits!

Skyler Howes had something of a nightmare 2024 season, also his maiden one in the official HRC squad. The American enters Dakar 2025 in far better shape, no doubt eager to showcase his potential.

Pablo Quintanilla is the fifth rider in the list and, like Van Beveren and stands as one of the most experienced in the Dakar entry list. Arguably he is past his very best but the Chilean remains a contender and contributes massively to the collective team effort at HRC.

The CRF 450 Rally: A Machine in Constant Evolution

“A cornerstone of the team’s success”, Honda say the CRF 450 Rally has seen continuous upgrades across 2024, although, as ever in this sport, they are tight lipped about exactly what those changes are.
