It’s official, the 12 Ore di Enduro – 12 Hours of Vintage Enduro event in Il Ciocco, Italy – was so successful they’re back bigger and better for a 2023 edition this November.

The date of November 10-12, 2023 has been set in stone for the return of a pretty unique vintage enduro event in Il Ciocco, Castelvecchio Pascoli, in the hills of Northern Italy for a 12 Hours of Enduro.

Trading on the historic 12-hour event way back in March 1975, 12 Ore di Enduro a Coppie second edition is what they call a “re-enactment” designed to be a mix between reunion and celebration.

It’s a nostalgia-fest then but very much a regularity enduro test for vintage bikes and riders competing in pairs (classes detailed below). Staged in a great setting, fuelled by the success of last year’s “re-enactment” and aiming to become a fixture on the calendar annually.

Event details:

Route: Less than 500 kilometres in total, starting and finishing at Il Ciocco, home of other enduro events including Hell’s Gate.

Rules will follow FMI (Italian Federation) regulations. Basic condition for participation is to be aged between 40 and 80 years with riders who took part in the 1975 and 2022 editions  of the 12 Ore will have priority.

Categories: Classic, Marathon, Single Heroes vs. Pairs with “Gentlemen Riders” taking part for no rankings.

Bikes: Mopeds, scooters, motorcycles of any engine size and brand, with historic FMI “passport” which must be road registered and insured.

Classes: B – Classic 81, motorcycles up to 1981, B – Classic 83, built up to 1983, X -Evo 86, motorcycles up to 1986, E – Electric.

The ranking system they say will be as they used in the 2022 edition, using test times of course but also considering age of the riders and bikes.
