Between the Arrows video highlights from the 2024 Mason Dixon GNCC, round eight of the season which produced one of the best races of the year as Johnny Girroir and Steward Baylor took it right to the wire in a final lap battle.

As the green flag flew for the XC1 Open Pro class, Babbitt’s Online Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Lyndon Snodgrass grabbed the holeshot with Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing’s Jordan Ashburn moving into the lead during the first lap.

Snodgrass and Ashburn swapped the lead position back-and-forth for the early laps before  Ashburn broke clear by lap five.

Rocky Mountain RedBear Kawasaki’s Steward Baylor made his way up through the pack to pass on Ashburn to take over the lead as the white flag came out indicating one more lap.

But a hard-charging FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Johnny Girroir, making up for an early crash, caught Baylor and the pair battled for the last mile to the finish line.

Girroir would come through to edge out Baylor for his third overall win of the season. Baylor would hold on and come through to earn second overall on the day.

An equally epic battle for the XC2 class win saw Grant Davis and Angus Riordan impressively push their 250 machines up into third and fourth overall for the day ahead of Ashburn third in XC1 but P5 overall.
