Video preview for the Red Bull Outliers, round four of the 2023 Hard Enduro World Championship in Canada where Mani Lettenbichler arrives unbeaten but has home favourite Trystan Hart looking for revenge in the Alberta Badlands.

“One of the coolest and strangest landscapes in the championship” – so says Trystan Hart, winner of last weekend’s Tennessee Knockout ahead of his main rivals for this weekend in his home country of Canada.

The FMF KTM-backed rider got the better of Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt and runaway Hard Enduro World Championship points leader this season, Mani Lettenbichler.

The Red Bull KTM reigning world champ is in unbeatable form so far this season and arrives in Calgary having won each of the opening rounds. He also won a duel with Hart at last year’s Outliers as the pair took it right down to the final hillclimb. More of the same this year please boys…

HEWC points ahead of round four

Is it ok to say Lettenbichler is edging towards his third world title? On the form he is showing this year (three wins from three rounds), the title should be his barring disaster. It is more interesting behind though with Trystan Hart, Billy Bolt and Teo Kabakchiev all fighting for this podium places.

Round four is well past the point where we should have seen riders like Graham Jarvis, Wade Young and last years runner-up Mario Roman topping, or at least standing on, the podium. With three rounds left including Outliers this weekend, these guys have some work to do in the points table.
