First look: 2026 Sherco SE 250 and SE 300 Xtrem Hard Enduro Editions
First look at the Sherco 2026 "Xtrem" Hard Enduro range with a new 250cc two-stroke joining the SE 300 model, both stacked with fit-for-purpose upgrades to race extreme.
Announced in 2025 as a new official model, the Xtrem (French for Extreme if you’re wondering what’s up with the missing letters) 250 and 300 two-stroke models from Sherco have already proved themselves a sell-out hit in some countries.
Inspired directly by Sherco’s official factory race programme, the SE Xtrem models are purpose-built for hard enduro straight out of the crate.

For MY26, Sherco has introduced the 250cc option which join the iconic 300 SE Xtrem and for more choice in this Hard Enduro platform. There’s a growing trend for 250 two-strokes in hard enduro – different power characteristic, lighter clutches, “more rideable” some say – which has been put to the test at the highest level by the now former Sherco Racing factory rider, Mario Roman. Mario used a 250 in the final rounds of the 2025 Hard Enduro World Championship.

Built upon the proven 250 SE Factory and 300 SE Factory platforms, the Xtrem models are as close as it gets to the machines campaigned at the highest level in the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship by Teodor Kabakchiev who will be joined in 2026 by Lorenzo Gandola in the factory team.
Sherco say each Xtreme edition includes over €3500 worth of premium components and protection upgrades which are designed to be straight out of the box ready to go into a hard enduro race.
