Forgive us our little bit of photoshopping of the main image here, we wanted to see what the new motocross model announced today would look like with lights on. Not bad, hey?
For the time being we’ll have to wait for the enduro version, just as we’ll be waiting for a TF 450-X model “later in 2024” Triumph say. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the details and specifications.

“The most complete specification package ever to launch into the ultra-competitive 250cc motocross market” Triumph are saying about their dirt bike. It’s big talk but this is a big deal from a manufacturer who clearly have designed and built a bike which is a complete package.
People in the know, who have been testing the bikes for a while now, have told Enduro21 more than once over the last year or more that the new Triumphs are the real deal and aren’t just here to make up the numbers. We can see now that wasn’t just BS.
“This bike is 100% Triumph, conceived, designed, developed and manufactured by our world leading chassis and engine teams, with expert support from our racing champions.” Says Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Product Manager, Steve Sargent. “We started with a blank sheet of paper and began an all-new ground-up design, including a new engine, new chassis and new electronics.”
“Racing Champions” means Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes, but we also know a lot of testing has been going on in the UK with a certain Paul Edmondson and a gang of riders stacking up thousands of hours mileage testing the bikes.
The press information is littered with superlatives but it’s hard not to be impressed with the specifications (in detail below) which include a “unique”, ultra-compact aluminium chassis which weighs in at a claimed 104kg.
That list of components including KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, DID Dirt Star rims is a quality one from the market which puts it in a very strong position. Aftermarket accessories already on the available shopping list include an Akrapovic exhaust.
The graphics and plastics help it look slim and we can see hints of other manufacturers machines in the TF 250-X. The bold distinctive Triumph Racing Yellow and black graphics scheme will surely make it stand out.
A new Triumph network of specialist motocross dealers, will be offering sales, servicing, parts and a new dedicated range of apparel, backed by a mobile-optimised 24/7 online parts supply system, so customers can order for express delivery, straight from the track.

The premium Brembo braking system features twin 24mm piston floating front caliper, a single 26mm piston floating rear caliper and Galfer 260mm front and 220mm rear discs. DirtStar 7000 Series aluminium rims and machined aluminium hubs are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion MX32 mid-soft tyres. Pro-Taper ACF carbon core bars and ODI half-waffle lock on grips complete the set up.
