First look: All-new KLIM Off-Road and Adventure backpacks
KLIM has introduced the Arsenal 15 and Arsenal 30, two fully-functional backpacks designed to meet demanding off-road, trail and adventure motorcycle riding.
The Idaho-based company is already well-known for their extensive line-up of high-quality off-road riding kit – whether that is snow, dirt or adventure riding. This new Arsenal range of packs fits right in the mold and focuses on durability, hot-weather comfort and function wherever you ride.
A full Arsenal
The Arsenal 15 is a midsized backpack with a chest harness connected by a single, glove-friendly push button connector and has a capacity of 14 litres. KLIM say they have tested this pack extensively in trail riding conditions, on the backs of professional off-road racers, and notably over the four days racing at the 2021 Sea to Sky Hard Enduro in Turkey.
The result they say is “a comfortable pack designed to carry a day’s worth of supplies in an organised fashion, while keeping weight balanced and creating the best airflow possible across your back.”
Rather than using elastic harness straps which are common on other backpacks, KLIM instead uses four-point adjustable webbing straps across the Arsenal 15 chest harness. They say these can be fine-tuned to fit different body shapes, and negate the need for an added waist strap.
There are also two bonus pockets on the chest harness which can fit a cell phone and snacks or other essentials.

Go big…and don’t go home
The Arsenal 30 is the larger-capacity backpack designed for carrying more stuff than the Arsenal 15 kinda rider, things such as camera gear or camping gear too.
The “highly” adjustable shoulder straps work with a waist belt on this model to help keep the pack secure and comfortable.
KLIM say the Arsenal 15 and Arsenal 30 chest harnesses are interchangeable, and shoulder straps from the 30 can be swapped to the 15, allowing riders who own both packs to customize them depending on the trip.
Taking the heat
Both Arsenal packs are designed with particular attention to temperature control in hot weather. The Arsenal 15 has an offset mesh back panel, with corrugated foam pillows, which creates exceptional airflow across the entire back they claim.
The Arsenal 30 uses large 3D mesh pillows and an open back panel to wick moisture and create airflow. Both packs use straps with 3D mesh to wick moisture.
When the weather turns foul, both packs include waterproof seam-taped rain flys to help keep contents dry. These are intuitively stored and easy to access with gloves on and without removing or rearranging any backpack contents.

Organise your ride
KLIM has also thought about the organisation of packing and using a bag while riding with a number of features. Both Arsenal 30 side pockets are made of a stretch material, allowing them to fit a standard 21” front inner tube or a 32oz/1L fuel bottle.
Each pocket has hidden compression straps inside which keep them accessible even when everything is cinched down. The main compartment has four zipper heads, which allow access into the bottom and sides without unzipping the entire pack. The Arsenal 15 also uses particular compression strap placement that retains access and function of exterior pockets while keeping the load secure.
Here’s what they look like for real…
