Long term Arai-sponsored athlete Justin Barcia has collaborated with the legendary helmet and clothing design gurus Troy Lee Designs for a new Arai MX-V Frog helmet design.

They say it’s “one of the best looking commercial helmet designs in the last decade” with its retro colour pallet, as well as some nice lines wrapping horizontally around Arai’s MX-V helmet (known in the United States as the VX-Pro4).

As with all Arai helmets, safety is very high on the agenda and the 18 hours that go into making the handmade shell of every helmet on the showroom shelf is still unchanged today as it was decades ago.

The MX-V model is the Arai helmet for enduro, motocross and off-road which stands up to the same safety and manufacturing standards you’d find on any of their helmets including those on the heads of Jonathan Rea in WSBK, Maverick Vinales in MotoGP and Adrien Van Beveren in Rally. The tree frog is a nod to Barcia’s younger days on an 85cc along with his “Bam Bam” logo.
