The United States has announced its riders for the 2024 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Spain. The reigning champions senior men’s and women’s winners aiming to add the junior vase to their tally in Sileda, Galicia on October 14 to 19.

As the current champions in the men’s and women’s from the last ISDE in Argentina, and consistently being the team to beat for decades, learning the American Trophy team squad is something the rest of the world look for in anticipation.  

Well, here it is, the AMA has announced the names of the 10 riders, along with 21 Club team riders, who will represent the United States in the 99th edition of the ISDE this year in Spain.

“We are coming off a stellar result last year, and our team is striving to replicate the same successes this year,” says Antti Kallonen, KTM's off-road competition director in the United States and team manager for the American ISDE team. “Once again, I am pleased that we can bring the best riders to this race, and they all have a single objective in mind. These riders should excel in the conditions we will face in Spain this October. It was 8 years ago when the USA won its first Trophy title there, so we have good feelings about this year's race.”

Following the retirement announcement of ‘captain’ Taylor Robert last year having conquered the ISDE for a final time, the American team has been renewed with Dante Oliveira (KTM), Johnny Girroir (KTM), Craig Delong (Husqvarna), and Josh Toth (GASGAS) to defend the World Trophy title.

It’s a formidable line-up and a Smart move (in our humble view) to bring Josh Toth back in the World Trophy team after he was dropped in 2023. Josh went to Argentina and absolutely smoked the Club class with times comparible to the top Trophy riders.

Formidable Women’s Trophy team

The same impressive women’s team, which won in Argentina, will return with Brandy Richards (KTM), Korie Steede (Husqvarna), and Rachel Gutish (Sherco).

“These girls have proven to be the fastest in the world, but as every year, we will not let our guard down and will focus on the preparation and the race ahead.” says Kallonen.

Juniors aiming higher

After finishing second in the Junior Trophy last year, the US team aims to climb one step higher on the podium with Mateo Oliveira (KTM), Grant Davis (KTM), and Jason Tino (Husqvarna).

“Our junior team is getting stronger year after year,” says Kallonen. “Now we have young talents with promising futures, and we are focused on having this team fight for the championship this year. Mateo and Grant had great success last year, and I hope our newcomer Jason joins them to achieve success.”

In addition to their Trophy teams, following the usual selection trials across the Atlantic, the AMA has also announced their riders for the Club category, with 21 additional representatives, besides those in the World Trophy, spread across seven teams of three riders each.
