Motorcycling Australia has announced that GASGAS Factory rider Daniel Sanders hasn’t got a bike for the 2022 International Six Day Enduro Enduro (ISDE) and will be replaced by Andrew Wilksch in Team Australia.

Motorcycling Australia say the “situation has come about due to the unavailability of suitable machinery for Sanders intended class for the ISDE.” Although Daniel has been putting in the hours to make the ISDE for 2022 a possibility, it seems someone forgot GASGAS don’t have a 500 four-stroke in the EC (enduro range) line-up. Doh!

Presumably the 300 two-stroke, the other bike eligible for E3 class, isn’t an option and so

Andy Wilksch will now take up that mantle and opportunity to ride for Team Australia on the Husky 500 four-stroke – the same bike sanders took outright ISDE victory on in 2019.

Wilksch was racing in Europe and the EnduroGP World Championship only last season and is currently leading the E3 class in AORC, plus finished second in the big bore class at the A4DE.

The revised Australian Men’s World Trophy Team:

Andy Wilksch (E3)

Wil Ruprecht  (E2)

Daniel Milner (E2)

Joshua Green (E1)

2022 Australian Women’s World Trophy Team:

Jessica Gardiner

Tayla Jones

Emelie Karlsson

2022 Australian Junior World Trophy Team:

Kyron Bacon (E1)

Blake Hollis (E1)

Korey McMahon (E2)

The International Six Day Enduro will be held in Puy en Velay, France from August 29-September 4, 2022.
