SuperEnduro 2026 Title Decider? Billy Bolt Eyes Title No.6 in Newcastle
SuperEnduro World Championship points standings are stacked heavily in favour of the Billy Bolt who eyes-up a record-equalling sixth indoor title as we head to his hometown of Newcastle and round six this weekend.
A record-equalling sixth world title seems just as inevitable as Roxy Bolt is poised to deliver a baby Bolt into the world in the very near future – the hope for Billy is the world title comes first.
The points are heavily stacked in Billy’s favour as we eye-up the penultimate round of the season in his home city of Newcastle on Saturday.
The Husqvarna Factory Racing rider has dropped just one race win from 15 moto starts in 2026, and has bagged all five Superpole fastest times (three points each) for a points advantage of 85 points.
That stash means Bolt is likely to win the world championship in front of a sell-out home crowd this Saturday night, this year a round earlier with the penultimate race next weekend in France.
The chances are he will bag it in moto one unless the next nearest challenger, Jonny Walker, can do something he hasn’t managed since moto two at round one and take some of the glory.

Things looked promising back then as the Triumph rider rolled into SuperEnduro fresh from an AMA EnduroCross title and carrying form we thought would challenge Bolt. But it hasn’t panned out that way and in fact the battle for best behind Billy has been part of the reason Billy can wrap it up one round early.
Walker stands as the nearest challenger but his worst results of the season in Serbia (P4 overall) sees Mitch Brightmore eyeing P2 overall for the season if he too can buck the trend and take the points on the night – a moto win wouldn’t go amiss.
Mitch has had the Stark boys Eddie Karlsson and Toby Martyn for company in the races, with the electric bikes proving themselves podium contenders and race winners as they all fight for the podium.
Slot Ash Brightmore into the mix this Saturday too as the second X-Grip rider arrives on his second race back from an injury sustained at round one into the arena where he claimed his Junior World Championship.
Prestige Championship points standings after Rnd 5, two remaining:

Junior points lead up for grabs
Newcastle 2026 will be a chance to shine for Junior and Youth class riders which feature British riders heavily.
In the Junior category, Milan Schmuser literally had a very unlucky break in Belgrade with a broken leg, ruling him out of the championship which remarkably he stills leads despite scoring no points in Serbia.
That puts Toby Shaw in the driving seat as far as the championship points stand but he has an in-form Manuel Gomez to worry about as the Stark rider finds the same form his Prestige teammates Eddie Karlsson and Toby Martyn are showing. Don’t count out Fraiser Lampkin this weekend also as the 2025 Youth runner-up clocked his first Junior podium last time out and has form in the Utilita Arena.
Junior Championship points standings:

Youth on their side
Meanwhile in the always exciting Youth 125 class, Wojtek Walczak is in the driving seat after a double moto win and overall in Serbia while his nearest rival Connor Watson had a bit of a mare finishing fourth.
The Sherco rider will look to make amends in Newcastle and close down the Polish points leader, he could start by getting a decent first moto result which is something that has plagued him all year.
Watch out also for podium contenders Luca Kropitsch and Eneko Martinez who is finding form these last rounds.
Youth Championship points standings:

The home heroes on show in Newcastle will include what promises to be a highly entertaining national class race, stacked with young and old Pros – if last year’s races are anything to go by this is worth the ticket price alone.
