2024 FIM Awards Gala: Enduro Champions Suited and Booted
The Palma Convention Centre in Mallorca was the setting this weekend for the 2024 International Motorcycling Federation Awards Gala, an unforgettable evening where the best riders in the world, including Josep García and Mireia Badia (EnduroGP), Manuel Lettenbichler (Hard Enduro), Billy Bolt (SuperEnduro) and Ross Branch (Rally-Raid).
Among the great world stars of motorcycling, the champions in off-road disciplines stood out, not in their racing kit for once but in evening dress at the grand annual gala. Suited and booted to receive their gold medals in a glamorous atmosphere, far from the dirt, dust and mud of the races to which we are more accustomed to seeing them.
With the Mediterranean island of Mallorca as a backdrop, the locals Josep García and Mireia Badia, were met with warm appluase after an exceptional year for Spanish motorcycling in all disciplines. Their dominance in EnduroGP was added to by the TrialGP and X-Trial world titles won by Toni Bou, the MXGP championship won by Jorge Prado and the MotoGP crown won by Jorge Martín.

Sustainability recognition: award for EnduroGP team
During the ceremony, the FIM Sustainability Trophy was awarded to Prime Stadium, promoter of the EnduroGP World Championship, for its commitment to sustainable practices in the sport. Carla Alvarenga and Alexandra Castelo, representing Prime Stadium, received this prestigious award, highlighting the efforts made to integrate sustainability into the world of motorcycling.
A perfect end to a historic year
FIM President Jorge Viegas described the evening as the perfect end to the celebration of the FIM’s 120th anniversary. “Palma de Mallorca has proven to be a fantastic venue, and tonight was the ideal setting to close a spectacular season. My thanks to everyone who has contributed to the success of this year. Now, we look ahead to 2025 with the ambition to do even better,” said the head of international motorcycling.
