Beta USA reveal a limited production and all-new 300 RX motocross model which promises “rideability” and genuine two-stroke power in a specially developed chassis.

Enduro and trials motorcycle specialist manufacturer Beta has dipped a sizeable toe into motocross world for the first time with the new Beta 300 RX motocross model. Featuring the 293.1cc two-stroke engine and six-speed transmission as found in the enduro models, Beta say the engine has been tuned for motocross with the adjustable power-valve, which will also allow riders to dial-in the amount of “hit” they want trackside.

2021 Beta 300 RX features:

  • 293.1cc, two-stroke engine
  • Adjustable power valve
  • V-Force reeds
  • Electric start
  • Two power mode maps for wet and dry riding
  • All-new frame built for this model

  • 19” rear wheel
  • Brembo hydraulic clutch
  • Nissin front and rear brakes with oversize rotors

Special frame

Though many of the parts might be common from the RR enduro models, Beta say the chassis has its own special frame built with new stress plates to change overall stiffness and longer-travel suspension specifically for the RX model. The KYB closed cartridge front fork and Sachs rear shock have internal settings developed by Beta USA's in-house suspension department and test team to suit the harder hits of MX tracks.

Beta say the bike is adaptable and readily aimed at amateur and pro riders with development spear-headed by five-time GNCC champion Rodney Smith, former 250SX West Champion Jake Weimer and Beta USA’s Hare and Hound champ Chance Fullerton.

Beta USA's Tim Pilg explains, “We wanted to build an MX bike that utilized many of the characteristics that our off-road race bikes have but with more power and stiffer suspension.

“The RX model shows how much fun a two-stroke can be. The sound and feeling of the bike is unmatched and I hope our future owners of the model will appreciate the effort put into the bike. It is truly special.”

Beta USA warn the 300 RX model will likely be a sell-out success in its limited number production run.
