WOR Enduro Sport have announced a brand-new race series in the UK, NORA Motorsport British Hare & Hounds Enduro Championship (BHHEC) with classes and races for all ages and abilities.

Good news on the enduro sport front especially if you’re into Hare and Hounds events as long-time proponents of the long race format, WOR Enduro Sport, have announced they will promote and organiser a new UK-wide series.

Beginning with the intention to build from its inaugural year in 2025 into a well-established and competitive British Championship, the new BHHEC will run under the wing of NORA Motorsport.

The seven-round championship, spread throughout England and Wales, promises “fantastic hare and hounds venues” and, as is also a tradition from WOR, will feature classes for everyone from the smallest kids on PWs up to adult expert level – plenty of encouragement for young riders in their own races at each round is great to see.

WOR tell us the seven-round series (six to count) will run to their tried and tested format and rules system with all the rounds catering for Autos in 1hr races, Juniors in 1.5hr races and the Adults in a 2.5hr to 3hr race (adults race duration will vary – Over-50 + classes 2hrs).

The series is open to any rider with a 2025 NORA race licence and each round will run practice/playdays on the Saturday ahead of Sunday race days.

WOR Enduro Sport boss, Steve Ireland says: “This is really a great thing to be involved with and I am honoured to be recognised by Nora with WOR, taking this new series forward. I look forward even more to helping establish the series over the next few years and even inviting other clubs from within the Nora umbrella to become involved and run a round or two as we grow and progress the championship - a genuine British Hare & Hounds series for all skill levels and ages!”

Roy Barton, Nora Motorsport adds: “Having legally authorised all of Steve’s events over the last three years, we are really pleased to be working and helping WOR Enduro Sport to initiate and recognise a proper British Championship for Hare & Hounds Enduro that Steve so passionately promotes and nurtures each year. It will be great to see the series take off and grow and create champions throughout all the classes and age groups in 2025 and beyond.”
