Results from day two at the EnduroGP of Greece in Serres which saw plenty of crashes and Thomas Oldrati challenge Brad Freeman for the overall win – Roni Kytonen takes the Junior victory.

Enduro GP of Greece, day 2 in a nutshell:

  • Bradley Freeman hangs on for the win despite crash and a battle with Thomas Oldrati, Matteo Cavallo and Christophe Charlier.
  • Thomas Oldrati left it late to jump from P4 to runner-up overall. The Italian busted out a blinding final Extreme test to leap-frog Cavallo and Christophe Charlier (E2 winner) in the overall times.
  • Completing the E1 white-wash of the scratch EnduroGP podium was Matteo Cavallo backing up his day one P3 – his third EnduroGP podium on the bounce.
  • Day two in Greece was a war of attrition with many crashed and injured riders either struggling to the end or DNFing. Notable among them were Alex Salvini riding with an injured shoulder after dislocating it in day one, Giacomo Redondi riding with battered ribs after a crash on the second test of the day and Freeman who crashed on Cross test three but still hung on for the win.
  • David Knight is crowned the first World Champion of 2019 after winning the Open Senior World Cup class 14 years after the Manxman’s first world title.
  • Speaking of Manxmen, Danny McCanney topped the E3 class ahead of Steve Holcombe.
  • The Juniors looked completely different on day two with yesterday’s battle for P2 becoming the battle for the overall win between Roni Kytonen and Enric Francesco. Kytonen it was though who took his first overall Junior and the J1 win – Francisco was the J2 winner.
  • Ruy Barbosa threw away a certain Junior podium place after getting himself disqualified for agressive behaviour towards Theo Espinasse.
