Heard of The Tough One Hard Enduro? Try The Tough One’s Dead ‘Ard Cousin
One of the original and hardest of hard enduros, The Tough One, has a new “Dead ‘Ard Cousin” – new race from the iconic event organisers planned at same venue.
The Nantmawr Quarry on the English Welsh border is an iconic venue in the history of hard enduro. Home to The Tough One over many years, the event has seen some of enduro’s greats take victory including Graham Jarvis, David Knight and at its last-ever running, Billy Bolt.
The brains behind WOR, Steve Ireland, has rebooted the race and his team are giving the venue a dose of TLC ahead of the Tough One’s Dead ‘Ard Cousin. Apparently the cousin is a bit harder than The Tough One’s Little Brother...
This race adds to WOR Events’ programme for 2024 which plans to include a new “Extremism”, three-round series and the Snowflake Extreme on March 24.
Offering prize money, “WOR Extremism” is aiming to be a fun extreme enduro series with a prize purse of £1000 to the winning Pro or Expert rider, £500 to Clubman and £500 each to winning over-40 and over-50, plus product prizes for other classes.
Prize money at a British enduro?! Whatever next…
