Cody Webb switched back to hard enduro mode to take victory at the Cliffhanger Extreme Enduro where SEER Racing gave the TKO venue in Tennessee a Hard Enduro makeover for their last race of 2020.

The The South East Extreme Riders (SEER) crew presented a new hard enduro loop around the Trials Training Centre at Sequatchie, familiar to all who raced the Tennessee Knockout (TKO) and in perfect, Autumn conditions sections like The Wash, Easy Creek, Strange Hill, and Friends with Benefits challenged over 130 riders.

Competitors had four hours to complete as many loops as possible of a 10 mile loop which had four checks along the way. When the four hours was up, riders were clocked back to their previous check point.

Overall winner, Cody Webb didn’t quite finish four laps but came home ahead of SEER’s so far undefeated series champion of 2020, Nick Fahringer who completed a Sherco one-two.

Jordan Ashburn switched GNCC for extreme enduro and not for the first time was riding a Kawasaki KDX 200 which he impressively put on the podium.

Cliffhanger Extreme Gold class results:

  1. Cody Webb 3:55.21, 3 laps, 19 checkpoints
  2. Nick Fahringer 3 laps, 18 checkpoints
  3. Jordan Ashburn 3 laps, 18 checkpoints
  4. Quinn Wentzel 3 laps, 16 checkpoints
  5. Ryder Leblond 3 laps, 15 checkpoints
  6. Jeremiah Burkhart 2 laps, 13 checkpoints
  7. Chuck Delullo 2 laps, 13 checkpoints
  8. Troy Desimore 2 laps, 12 checkpoints

A trio of female riders also took on the tough challenge with Kristina Zmuda making it the furthest through the course.

The 2020 series awards ceremony followed the race in the TTC where SEER announced the grand prize for the 2021 race series will be a Redbull Erzbergrodeo race entry. The prize will include the Erzberg entry fee, plus a bike for the event and some travel money. We’re tempted to get on over to SEER’s races ourselves for a shot at that prize.
