Hard Enduro World Championship promoters, WESS Promotion GMBH, and the organisers of the Valleys Xtreme have announced that the British round will be the first race of the calendar for the next season.

The British enduro scene must be happy with the roll it is on right now. After a time without the World Championships stopping in their country, they will have three visiting them next year. As they say in the UK, you wait ages for a bus an then three come along at once with SuperEnduro, EnduroGP and now the confirmation that round one of the 2024 Hard Enduro World Championship will visit Wales from April 12 to 14.

South Wales will welcome the HEWC for the opening round of next season at what is already a popular early-season event, the Valleys Xtreme.

Held in a giant former open-cast mine at Walters Arena which has regualry hosted World Rally competition, an endurance 'Dawn to Dusk' race and is home to an off-road training school.

Next April riders will face a familar programme for three days in what will be the first visit of the Hard Enduro World Championship in the UK – yes, we have seen a couple of rounds hosted in Hawkstone Park in the days of the WESS, but since it was officially named the world championship this is the first stop in the British Isles.

This is what went down this year:

At the moment we don’t have any more information about the event, just that the sign up will open in October.
