As riders line-up for the opening round of the 2021 FIM Cross-Country rallies World Championship in Kazakhstan this week, GASGAS Factory Racing’s new recruit Daniel Sanders will get his first competitive outing on this RC 450F rally bike. Enduro21 takes the chance to gawp at his new GG…

Sanders, who finished fourth overall on his debut at the Dakar Rally earlier this year had been racing for the KTM Racing team alongside the Red Bull KTM squad. After Laia Sanz stepped down from rally competition, GASGAS needed a rider and the Australian was a natural contender.

Enduro21 hasn’t had a chance to catch up with the team or rider for the nitty-gritty on the RC 450F but one detail that caught our eye is the little block sitting on the front face of the rear fuel tank, just at the back of Daniel’s legs.

In keeping with his hang-off-the-back riding style, the block gives Chucky something grippy and supportive to effectively grip and lean back against with his legs in the standing riding position. It's a cool detail.
