FactoryONE Sherco Racing have announced Cooper Abbott will race alongside Cody Webb in the AMA Hard Enduro and EnduroCross championships – watch out SuperEnduro World Championship, he’s coming for that too.

The 23-year-old Arizona native Cooper Abbott is one of the rising talents in the USA off-road scene having begun to leave his mark on the Hard Enduro and EnduroCross podiums in the most recent seasons.

FactoryONE say Cooper will continue to race the AMA Hard Enduro series and EnduroCross where he claimed a career best second place results in 2021. The big news is Cooper will also line up in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championships in 2022, a first for him.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the FactoryONE Sherco team alongside Cody Webb and the rest of the very talented team.” Said Abbott.  “It’s always been a dream of mine to race for a factory team and I am ready to get the year going. I am super happy to be with a team that is striving for so much and has shown they can win races and championships.

“I’m thankful to Ron and everybody on the team for giving me this opportunity to go win races and championships on the best equipment the team has to give.”

Abbott’s short professional career includes being the 2014 Amateur EnduroCross Champion, 2019 WORCS Sprint Enduro Pro 2 champ and the EnduroCross podium finishes since turning professional. 

“We are super excited to be bringing in such a talented young rider in Cooper,” said FactoryONE Sherco's President Ron Sallman. “His growth over the last few years is evident. He is coming off of a very strong EnduroCross season with a 2nd place in the championship. With that, our EX (EnduroCross) and SuperEnduro programs just received a huge shot in the arm. It is going to be awesome to watch Cooper and Cody line-up as teammates.”
