Beta adds a new RR X-Pro range to their catalogue, lower spec than the RR Racing models and more suitable for all enduro disciplines including hard enduro – new frames plus the little 125cc and the big 300cc two-strokes benefit from engine upgrades.

With now 20 years of experience building enduro bikes – Beta presented their first enduro model back in 2004 when they used KTM engines – the Italian brand has decided to expand their line-up with the introduction of the RR X-Pro for 2025.

These bikes “offer the enduro rider a large range of features and benefits suited for trail riding of all disciplines,” according to Beta, and it’s formed by eight models: 125, 200, 250, and 300 2T, alongside 350, 390, 430, and 480 4T models.

A quick chat with Beta and the aim for these new models is to simply offer more defined standard bike, one better suited to a wider range of enduro riding but particularly the area of enduro customers, extreme/hard endurto riders and hobby or weekend riders (the RR Racing models being more, as the name suggests, tuned for racing).

Beta 2025 RR X-Pro Range features:

  • New Frame: Derived from the RR Race Edition, offering increased strength and reduced flex
  • ZF SHC Front Fork: Single-sided spring, fully adjustable, with a weight reduction of over 250 grams
  • Lower Seat Height: Reduced by 20mm with a newly designed shape and softer foam for increased comfort
  • Rear Brake Master Cylinder: Larger fluid volume for improved performance under extreme braking conditions
  • Handlebar Mounts: XTrig FlexFix isoelastic mounts to reduce vibration and rider fatigue
  • Map Switch: Handlebar-mounted switch for adjusting engine power delivery for different conditions
  • Electronic Oil Injection: Available on 2T models (200, 250, 300), eliminating the need for premixing fuel
  • Traction Control: Available on 4T models, enhancing traction in difficult terrain
  • Electronic Key: Provides a unique coded key with a safety shutoff tether
  • Coolant Recovery Tank: Prevents coolant loss in extreme conditions
  • New Body Design: Includes a new headlight mask, fuel tank panels, and rear fender
  • Front Rescue Strap: Aids in lifting the front wheel out of difficult sections

Engine upgrades for the 125cc and 300cc two-strokes

The little 125cc 2T benefits from a completely new engine, featuring a new cylinder and exhaust valve system. The exhaust valve’s control has been modified with a new spring and a different calibration for the valve opening, aiming at making the engine more reactive and powerful by making it feel stronger throughout the whole range.

The 300cc 2T model has a new piston derived from the RR Racing version which is lighter to reduce vibrations while also making the big two-stroke faster revving.

Reduced Seat Height and 2024 RR Race Edition chassis

One of the standout features of the 2025 RR X-Pro range is the new chassis, which borrows its design from the 2024 RR Race Edition models that feature a larger backbone, enhancing durability and reducing overall flex for improved control.

Going alongside their will to make them suitable for all disciplines and easier to ride, they have lowered the seat height by 20mm to make it easier for everyone to reach the ground when you need to push the bike with your legs. Beta also claims that this also improves the center of gravity.

ZF SHC fork

The all-new ZF SHC front fork is lighter than the one we can find in both the RR and RR Racing models thanks to using a single spring design which is located on the right side and takes care of the compression while the left side handles the rebound and damping. Both can be adjusted – the press release doesn’t specify if it can be done by hand or you need tools. The rear shock also comes from ZF and it has new valve settings to match the fork.

Beta says that this setup is ideal for heavy enduro use, but we have seen other brands, like KTM, going for this kind of fork in the past and while it works well for casual enduro riding, they tend to fade when you ride hard at high speeds.

To make the front end feel nicer and reduce the rider's fatigue, the handlebar mounts are XTrig FlexFix, which have silent blocks.
